This Challenge encourages people to sign up and take up regular exercise be that walking, jogging or running.

From December 1st to 21st, 'Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights' is transforming Merrion Square Park with fantastic lights, games and walk-through light installations including an immersive Kaleidoscope. Tickets for this great value event are just €2 for one adult with two children free! Entry starts at 5pm each evening, with the last admissions at 9pm. Merrion Square Park also offers Relaxed Viewing time slots. Every evening the 5pm to
5.30pm timeslot will be designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more
relaxed environment, including those who identify as neurodiverse. During this slot,
no music will be played and people will have more space to move around. Tickets

There will be a designated mobile sensory unit away from the lights and sounds in
the park for use at all sessions.

Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr Ray McAdam, met today with Mayor Jaume Collboni in Barcelona to advance the objectives of the EU Mayors for Housing Alliance and help shape the EU Affordable Housing Plan. They also discussed strengthening the Dublin Barcelona twinning relationship.
The next presidential election is scheduled for Friday, 24 October 2025. To participate in person, ensure you are registered by Tuesday, 7 October 2025. Additionally, the deadline for arranging postal voting is Monday, 29 September 2025.

Dublin City Council’s Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services were delighted to welcome His Excellency the Chinese Ambassador, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, and guests to mark the re-opening of the Irish Suzhou Garden in St Anne’s Park.
Despite the rain, spirits were lifted as this ‘little corner of China’ — a symbol of Chinese culture and friendship — officially reopened following months of careful restoration, a collaboration between Ireland and the People’s Republic of China.
