Team, we will begin fielding a new MTP Barrack shirt from 23 Aug 21, offering a more significant size range and more slimline look that will particularly benefit women & men of smaller stature, disadvantaged by the limited size range and cut of the current shirt. 1/5
@fiona_almond Really like this approach, it helps a lot with even just working through their thought process of why it’s a problem and how it’s affecting their work/the team 👍
When someone comes to you with their problem...
Instead of saying “Have you thought about doing X” (solutioneering)
Try saying, “What have you thought about doing so far?” “What do you want to see happen?” “Which solutions have you ruled out and why?” etc.
If I have any SPS followers or equally anyone who knows someone who might be interested, this looks mega!
Have been watching this grow since the start and excited to see what comes from it 🙌
Your mental health is important regardless of rank, age or experience.
Communicating your feelings isn’t a weakness, or a barrier to success.
Talk to others, and listen to those who need you. It’s #TimetoTalk 🗣
Today is #TimeToTalk. General Sir Patrick Sanders speaks openly about his mental health struggles and encourages the entire Army to feel confident speaking about their experiences, concerns and struggles.

@FiveAndTwenties We’re working on that at the moment! Currently receiving things like this from across the field army, we should have some “dressed up” examples on next week, but units are also free to post their own on our DC page 👌
Simple, yet time saving and providing value to those who need it 👇
Love seeing these sorts of examples, initiative and innovation can come in the smallest packages but with long term benefits 👏
Our induction package used to take 1.5 days, and could only run half yearly through central briefs.
It's now been revamped. Taking just 2 hours to view the short presentations, it is available anytime on our Defence Connect site 👇.
Great work Q Craig.

@aliwigham Sometimes we’re all victims of the “but we’ve always done it” way of thinking, and it takes someone to break the mould. I’ve enjoyed seeing this spark the idea in the heads of others now, better late than never!
@simon_puxley Totally agree it’s so important. If we as an organisation can show professionalism, thought and care into that day one, then it shows what we value as an organisation. Getting it right emulates the good behaviours!

@DrakeElliot@MilitaryBanter Hard to comment without knowing the exact ins and outs, but ideally if the ranges were booked in advance then the cleaning time can be planned in advance? And if there was a fastball that caused this, what was it and how can they mitigate for it next time 🤔
@Average_S0ldier I think we need to get away from the idea that braids = unprofessional. In my mind there’s nothing more professional than being aware of how your kit fits and how that impacts your job, I’ve seen many women struggle to see under helmets in the name of “professional” buns
