A microbiologist interested in understanding the ecological roles of candidate phyla and analyzing their genomes. Research Scientist in @biddlelab @UDelaware.
Genomic resources enable insight into the developmental transcriptome of the blastoclad fungus, Coelomomyces lativittatus, an obligate parasite of mosquitoes and microcrustaceans https://t.co/gcUg4ZRGV0
Miniprot, a new mapper for aligning proteins to genomes with splicing and frameshift. Can be used for annotating new genomes. ~20k mouse proteins to the human genome in 5 mins over 16 threads. Still WIP. Feedback welcomed. https://t.co/ILAvmF3VBO
Interested to know about the Unique Solar (hypersaline) Lake, Taba microbes and how they contribute to hydrocarbon degradation ... I would be more than happy to discuss this and more with when you visit my poster PS26.289 on Tuesday from 4-6 PM 16.8.2022 during the #ISME18
PET degrading enzymes are awesome, but what about the other 88% of plastics waste? Join our team @UDengineering@UDChBE discovering the amazing capabilities hidden in insect microbiomes. Postdoc & UD PhD students should email with a CV. @miplacebio#SynBio#postdocposition
