Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 35th St. N. will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction between 7th Ave. N. and 12th Ave. N for asphalt surface repairs to be completed.
The road is expected to fully reopen by the end of the day Friday, June 19.
Beginning Friday, June 12, southbound 45th Street South will be reduced to one lane between 23rd Avenue South and 26th Avenue South. The closures are for concrete roadway repair and will be in place for up to five days.
Beginning Monday, June 8, 9th Avenue South will close on the east side of 45th Street South. This is part of the 45th Street South Concrete Pavement Repair Project.
Crews will replace the pavement in this area and have 14 days to reopen 9th Avenue South. Signs will be in place directing vehicles around the closure.
Beginning Monday, June 8, southbound 42nd Street South will be reduced to one lane between 37th Avenue South and 44th Avenue South. This closure is for private underground utility work and is expected to be in place for up to two weeks.
Local business signs will be in place directing vehicles around any closures throughout the duration of this project. Work on 45th Street South for this project is expected to be complete in the fall.
Crews will start working on Phase 1 of the 45th Street South Concrete Spot Repair Project. Following Phase 1, crews will begin Phase 2, which will reduce southbound lanes to one lane in the same area.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tues., June 2, southbound Broadway will be closed between 4th Ave. & 2nd Ave. N. & westbound 2nd Ave. N. will be closed between 5th St. N. & Broadway for storm sewer repairs. Please follow posted detours. The lanes are expected to reopen by Fri., June 5.
Beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, the northbound lanes of 25th St. S. will be shifted to the center lane between 16th Ave. S. and Demores Dr. S. for concrete surface repairs. The road is expected to fully reopen by end of the day Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Beginning Monday, May 18, eastbound Main Avenue will be shifted into the center turn lane between Broadway and 4th Street North. This closure is for a crane that will be working on a building and will be in place for one week.
Beginning May 18, N.P. Ave will be closed b/w 4th St N and 2nd St N. This is the start of the N.P. Ave roadway reconstruction project, which will fully reconstruct the underground utilities and roadway from 4th St N through the intersection of 2nd St N.
Beginning Tuesday, May 12, 37th Avenue South will be closed between Norman Court and 45th Street South.
The closure is for private underground utility work and is expected to be in place for up to one week.
Beginning Tuesday evening, May 12, Broadway will be closed overnight between 32nd Avenue North and 35th Avenue North. The work is for private underground utility work. The road is expected to reopen by 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13.
Effective May 11, 2026, at 12:01 a.m., the City of Fargo spring load restrictions currently imposed on City roads will be lifted and all roads will return to their regular weight restrictions.
The Designated Truck Route system will return to weight limitations as follows:
All non-truck route streets, including the residential system, will return to Class A restrictions as follows:
Single axle: 18,000 lbs.
Tandem axle: 32,000 lbs. - not to exceed 16,000 lbs. per axle
3 or more axles: 42,000 lbs. - not to exceed 14,000 lbs. per axle
