"And do you think this October 7th thing set all this in motion? ... Do you think that was a false flag?

MacGregor:

"Yeah. Well, it wasn't a false flag. It was simply allowed to happen.

"And I think that at some point, it'll become patently obvious, because I visited that headquarters in 2020. The Israelis had done a brilliant job of carefully following and monitoring everyone inside Gaza. They knew what was happening almost before it happened.

"They knew who had taken a shot at them and who hadn't. They'd learned how to defend themselves against these tunnels. I think they knew.

"And now we know that there were a group of, I think it was six or seven, Israeli women on the IDF whose entire focus during their term of enlistment was to focus on Gaza. And they raised the red flag of what was going on in Gaza several times. And for whatever reason, nobody reacted.

"Then they were told by the deputy chief of staff for intelligence in Egypt. He called over to the Mossad, presumably, maybe Shin Bet, I don't know which it was at the time, and said, Look, we see a big attack coming out of Gaza.

"Well, why didn't somebody react? And then when it did come, why did it take three hours for reaction forces to show up and defend the Israeli population? Clearly, this was a setup.

"It was designed to trigger the response that they wanted from the rest of the world, as well as from their own people, against the Muslims living in Gaza, the people they called 'Amalek,' animals."

Patrick:

"Is Israel engaging in a classic example of imperial hubris here? Imperial hubris?"

MacGregor:

"Well, of course. I mean, the arrogance and hubris are stifling. But that's because of their control of us. And I think that's what people have to understand. They say, when does this end? And I try to tell them when Israel no longer controls the United States armed forces, and that means no longer controls Congress and the presidency. Right now, they effectively control them."

The biggest battle in the Middle East isn't Israel vs Iran anymore; it's Trump vs Netanyahu

Former Israeli PM Ehud Olmert thinks their relationship isn’t just under strain; it may be breaking because the U.S. and Israel no longer want the same thing.

Trump wants the Iran war over; he wants Hormuz open, oil prices down, markets calm, and America out of another Middle East disaster before it consumes his presidency.

Netanyahu doesn’t have that luxury.

Ehud argues Netanyahu still sees Iran as unfinished business, has his own political needs, and is leading a coalition packed with hardliners who believe the answer to every problem is more force, more escalation, and more war.

He even believes Trump may have created the nuclear problem he now claims to be solving.

According to Ehud, when Trump tore up Obama’s Iran deal, Israel hadn't found evidence that Iran was violating it. Without the deal in place, Iran accelerated enrichment, and the crisis escalated.

After bombing them, the region nearly blew wide open, and now Washington is back trying to negotiate another deal with Tehran. Only this time, Iran is stronger, the price is higher, and the stakes are worse.

Olmert’s warning is simple: military power can buy time, but it cannot replace a political strategy.

That applies to Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, and Israel’s future relationship with America.

Because if Trump wants the war to end while Netanyahu’s coalition still wants escalation, then the question is whether they are still fighting for the same future.

And if they are not, this may be the beginning of the biggest U.S-Israel rupture in decades.

🚨 New study shows the New York Times, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, CNN, Politico, USA Today and Axios collectively used the term "savage" 16 times for the killing of Israelis, but never for the killing of Palestinians.

Likewise, "slaughter" appeared 120 times in relation to the killing of Israelis, but only once for Palestinians.

"Massacre" was used 344 times in relation to Palestinians killing Israelis, but never for Israelis killing Palestinians.

"Barbaric" was used 14 times to describe the killing of Israelis, but zero times in relation to the deaths of Palestinians.

The cable coverage displayed a similar pattern.

MSNBC, presenters and guests used
"massacre" 177 times, "barbaric" 46 times, "savage" 23 times and "slaughter" 102 times in relation to Israeli deaths.

They never called the killing of Palestinians "barbaric" or "savage". In relation to Palestinians, they only used “massacre" eight times and "slaughter" four times.

References to "savagery" and "barbarism" echo the logic of settler colonialism, identifying the uncivilised natives as a problem to be solved.
