This is Alex. Alex is a towering 6'2" 13 yo who's only ever ridden a tricycle before today. Due to his autism, he's never master a pedal bike, so he spent 30 minutes on our pink adult's balance bike.

35 minutes into his first lesson, Alex is riding his own blue pedal bike. 🩷🩷

Today's Bank Holiday cycling related fun included picking up a lovely 20" bike donated to our shop for recycling, driving out to repair a chain for stranded cyclist which had snapped mid ride, and taking my favourite 10 yo for her first 10 mile bike ride!

We just wish every parent struggling with helping their child to ride knew about the Farcycles little helpers and the Cycle Park.

Today's 1-1 lesson at the Park was very special.

7-year-old 'H' cldn't ride and cldn't master a balance bike. At the sight of one, she ran. We removed the pedals from her bike and started simply walking while seated.

45 minutes later she was pedalling for the first time.
