"Watching you spend £40k just to sit perfectly still in a shiny metal box while I breeze past on two wheels is my favorite form of entertainment." 🚲💅 #Traffic#Cycling#EnjoyTheWait
If only we had segregated car lanes, so fast, efficient modes weren’t constantly held up by vehicles.😉
All jokes aside, this rd is always packed with ppl cycling to work. Some safe cycling infra would be great & while we’re at it, the road could really do with a resurface. 🚲🚧
right wingers need to get around the bike-hating thing.
bicycles are in the top ten best inventions of mankind. they are super family friendly, your wife and kids would love the cycle-based agro-nationalist village life.
Billionaires fly in private jets to conferences around the world, pontificating about sustainability and environmental stewardship.
If they really wanted to see transformative work, they could simply fund bike infrastructure.
“Schttoopid”, as is anyone who replies using the word ‘committed’ without showing which rule in the Highway Code deals with ‘committing’ to a pass of a stopped vehicle.
A small gesture of apology would have made some amends.
More bikes than cars. That means more people moving in less space with less public cost, less pollution, more retail spending, longer & healthier lives, greater happiness etc. In more & more central cities the Simpsons is proving prophetic. HT @adamtranter
The Embankment cycleway (CS3) in London was purposefully built to be wider than was usual in order to future proof it.
Some said it would hardly be used.
Now there’s a decent case for widening it further.
Electric or autonomous cars are not invented to save our cities, society or the world.
