@GunsNAmerica @FighterGr86 Neither is Aerith’s. Her arc is saving the world and Cloud in particular (her words). Aerith can only be accused of what you claim by stretching a single line of dialogue against every other implication of shining sincerity.

While Sumire just does exactly that without ambiguity
