@PrezLives2022 WTF does the “establishment” have to stand on? They lost the entire government in 2024, and have changed NOTHING since then. They want to make gestures and offer false platitudes when we are demanding action.
@RachelBitecofer Democrats lost EVERYTHING in 2024, and there has been no change in leadership or policies AT ALL. You have to be brain dead or complicit in the country’s downfall to stick with the status quo.

What Joyce Carol Oates wrote to Elon Musk on Twitter. I am told it rattled him. I love it.
“So curious that such a wealthy man never posts anything that indicates that he enjoys or is even aware of what virtually everyone appreciates – scenes from nature, pet dog or cat, praise for a movie, music, a book (but doubt that he reads); pride in a friend’s or relative’s accomplishment; condolences for someone who has died; pleasure in sports, acclaim for a favorite team; references to history. In fact he seems totally uneducated, uncultured. The poorest persons on Twitter may have access to more beauty & meaning in life than the ‘most wealthy person in the world.’”
Bro - in ‘04 you lost us EVERYTHING! Since then, there has been no change in leadership - no shift in direction. I’m 58, and I’ve always voted Democrat, but the party needs to change. And I’m allowed to feel that way. So take your smug bullshit and shove it up your ass.
I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination.
Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.
Focus on building the party you actually support.
Political parties aren’t perfect, but they’re built by millions of people who knock doors, make calls, organize meetings, and fight for the values they believe in. If you don’t believe in the party, then don’t ask its members to carry you across the finish line.

Trump has turned the White House into a 24/7 corruption operation. This is a national crisis.
Trump thinks the public will stop paying attention.
So I went to the Senate floor to call his bluff. I told the ENTIRE STORY of his 500 days of corruption.
1/ Here it is - in one🧵
I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.
1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.
3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.
The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.
If the trump administration is willing to lie to your face about something as trivial as the paint in the reflecting pool, what else are they lying to you about???
Who saw this a while back and just KNEW this was not gonna end well?
Trump made his motorcade drive down the reflecting pool before it was sealed.
The contractor didn’t clean up the motor oil and tire dust, they just painted right over it.
The paint failed exactly as predicted.
By June, massive gashes of blue lining were peeling off in the exact shape of the motorcade’s path. The oil trapped underneath stopped the paint from sticking.
Surface prep 101.
Six innocent people arrested.
The White House looks like shit.. The East Wing has been bulldozed. The lawns looks like they were used for a Demolition Derby. The Kennedy Center is under a tarp. The Reflection Pond is disgusting and fenced off. Trump has turned the Capitol into a shithole.
“The Beast” is generally reported at about 20,000 pounds, roughly 10 tons. It probably weighed a bit more with tubby Trump strapped into his child seat. On May 7th, Trump and his entourage drove across the newly applied coating.
The failure is likely multifactorial, involving adhesion, surface prep, water chemistry, and material choice.
The physics (SCIENCE!!):
The 20,000 lb Presidential "Beast" means about 5,000 lb per tire if the weight is evenly distributed. If the tires are inflated like heavy-duty truck tires, the contact patch may only be around 45-65 square inches per tire, meaning a lot of force concentrated in small areas. The bigger issue is not just downward weight; it is tire shear: turning, braking, accelerating, and twisting rubber on a coating can tug at the surface. On a coating system, that can break weak adhesion points. Once water gets under a lifted edge, peeling can spread.
Take a moment to really look at this photo. 👇
That is the White House lawn. The People's House. Sacred ground that has stood for 226 years. Not destroyed by war. Not by disaster. But for one man's pleasure.
We are 13 days away from our 250th birthday as a nation, and our president spent $14 million ripping out the Reflection Pool to build himself a swamp. Another $600 million turning the East Wing into rubble. Rose Garden destroyed. And $60 million for his own birthday party that tore up the lawn.
226 years it stood strong. This man destroyed it in a year and a half.
One photo that screams exactly what he's done to this great nation.
As a DC9 union painter with 30+ years in coatings, I’m looking at the failure not a conspiracy theory.
When a coating is lifting off in large sheets like this, that points to an adhesion failure: improper surface preparation, contamination left behind, the wrong coating system, poor recoat timing, or water introduced before the system fully cured.
A quality two-part epoxy system can perform well but the product is only as good as the prep and application. The substrate has to be properly profiled/cleaned, the specified primer or first coat applied correctly, recoat windows followed, and the full system allowed to cure before being put back into service.
That is not “vandals.” That is a coating failure that deserves a real independent inspection and an explanation of exactly what system was specified and how it was applied.

I saw a comment saying the U.S. is the only country in the World Cup without universal healthcare. And I was like nahhh no way that's accurate.
20 seconds on the world wide web later, THE UNITES STATES IS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD CUP WITHOUT UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.
