@sailorblossoms Low key… I kinda wonder if someone on the team felt called out by Rumiko’s caricature of the “pervert master.” It really does feel like it goes out of its way for him sometimes.

@sailorblossoms This isn’t to excuse the anime, don’t get me wrong… it’s more that I don’t often get a chance to say that, and I kinda take it for granted that the original anime beyond the first two OPs and Ryoga’s theme is just an inferior simulacrum of the manga.

@sailorblossoms Happosai is (unfortunately) a necessary element to the whole story. From Ranma’s tutelage under Cologne to the broken men that raised Ranma and Akane and all of the side characters that got swept into this vortex of generational trauma, Happosai is the root of it all.
