Crazy to think it's 20 years in June since I started Fat As Funk Mastering - A lifetime ago.
Been mixing & mastering full-time ever since. Many loyal industry clients who have used me for years meaning I could focus on providing quality work rather than being an "influencer".
One of my mastering specialities is soundtracks on vinyl.
These are some of the video game OST releases I've mastered recently.
I love this work because it is challenging (a lot of tracks that are "unsuitable" for vinyl I can fix & I hear all kinds of cool music!
Getting ready for a vinyl release?
Having proper vinyl optimised masters makes the difference between "sounds good" to "sounds amazing".
We've mastered for "sounds amazing" for 20 years....
“I played the songs for him, and he said, ‘No… I don’t think we can use any of that.’ I was like, ‘Right. Cheers’”: Damon Albarn rejected an entire album of Blur songs – and accidentally kickstarted guitarist Graham Coxon’s solo career https://t.co/ewq6VY6htP

@GuitarWorld Good thing mastering engineers don't throw their vari-mu compressors in the air after a particularly good session. Could get very expensive very fast.
Engineer David Wieland’s PolyMap system captures each string at eight points, letting players create “virtual pickups” anywhere along the string https://t.co/ua9IYw8Op7
@Mix_Magazine Legendary franchise.
(I'm still thrilled to have co-written & produced a trailer for The Book Of Boba Fett with my buddy as The Industrial Battle Orchestra. A real career highlight)
