@LockeSketches Heya, I sent you a Twitter message about Charlie (@Tanzenkat) but I'm just notifying you this way in case it gets buried under "people you may know" instead of showing you it. Hopefully you see this before work today. Sorry to bother.
Today is the traditional day where we attack our masculinity by not performing the perfect minimum triple backflip, no upward slide, stickless pancake technique infront of a harsh audience. Good luck to all.
@Tanzenkat@luwushum Not going to lie, I'm so happy we dodged this bullet by a few months. But seeing you having to go through this fuck around is total bollocks, I was getting all geared for Eurovision blessings the month before. Actually legit pains me to see you two have to deal with this.
Landlord threatened us with withholding his reference so we can't get a new place until he can strong-arm over the deposit, he's coming over 9am tomorrow with his building contractor friend to make up whatever bollocks he can. Normally this would be cause for a lot of stress.
However, Tanzen is also picking up the keys to our new place at 9am because said landlord is so negligent he didn't even respond to the reference check he's threatening us with, meaning they moved on without him.
After that and more besides in that phone call. I had to unscrew the bathroom light fixture to replace the pull rope. The earth wire isn't connected and the screw lines up perfectly and actually pinches the live wire.
I just stared at it for about 5 minutes.
LL: "I didn't know about the kitchen problems you mention."
Me: "You had your builder friend turn up."
LL: "I tried to call you first."
Me: "You tried to call me, whilst on the phone when you found out?"
LL: "I thought it was at the front."
Me: "The kitchen isn't at the front."
LL: "The contract says you have to pay 2 months."
Me: "The contract expired a year ago."
LL: "The contract just renews exactly the same as the old one."
Me: "No, no it really doesn't. It becomes rolling month by month, until a new one is provided."
LL: "I'll check it myself."
Me: "The neighbor hurling abuse at my wife from my garden is too much for us to deal with."
Landlord: "I'll tell her landlord to evict her otherwise I can't have new tenants in your place."
Me: "Im the one in arms reach if you do that"
LL: "Not my problem"
Me: "Are your windows?"
Today my landlord's builder friend knocked on my door to hand me his phone with the landlord on the other end of it, he was having a panic attack because "there's a massive leak in your kitchen and you've been desperately trying to get hold of me."
