Sudan’s man-made war is being paid for on the backs of women and children who had no say in it, yet suffer the most, missing an education.
At last week’s UN Security Council Arria-formula meeting on Safeguarding Education in Sudan, I reiterated the call to end this war and pull Sudan back from the brink of losing another generation of its children to a life without education.

FG YEIDEP Batch B Registration Begins March 9 - Up to ₦500,000 Grant for Nigerian Youths
The Federal Government has announced the commencement of Batch B registration for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) starting March 9, 2026.
The programme aims to empower up to 20 million Nigerian youths with startup grants of up to ₦500,000, training, and business support.
Eligibility: – Nigerian citizens aged 18–50 – Must have NIN and BVN – Interest in entrepreneurship (especially agriculture and related sectors)
– Batch B registration requires opening a YEIDEP bank account at designated partner banks – Registration is completely free
Partner Banks: – Fidelity Bank – Lotus Bank – Keystone Bank
