تم تعطيل اتفاقية ١٧ ايار ١٩٨٣ من قبل جبهة الصمود والتصدي المتمثلة حينها بالنظام السوري وحلفاؤه. مما اضاع على لبنان ٤٣ سنة قضاها بالحروب العبثية، ليعود ويفاوض على اتفاقية مماثلة.
اليوم تعود نفس جوقة الممانعة بمحاولة تعطيل الاتفاق. فهل تدخلنا في ٤٣ سنة اخرى من الحروب؟

The solution is not to break Lebanon into pieces under IRCG, Israeli, and Syrian controls.

The solution is to boost the LAF capabilities under capable Lebanese leadership.
