In 2015, one CEO did something that shocked almost everyone.

He called his employees together and announced that the minimum salary in his company would now be $70,000 per year.

Not for managers.

Not for only the best-performing employees.

Everybody.

His name is Dan Price, the founder of Gravity Payments.

But the part that shocked people the most was what he did to his own salary.

He was earning about $1.1 million a year.

He cut it down to $70,000 so he could increase the salaries of all his employees.

People immediately started attacking him.

Some so-called experts called him a socialist and said he was destroying capitalism. Others predicted that his company would soon go bankrupt.

But then something unexpected happened.

The company grew.

Its workforce doubled.

Sales tripled.

And for the first time, many of his employees could afford things they had only dreamed about before.

Some bought homes.

Some started families.

They were no longer constantly struggling to survive while working full-time.

Then COVID happened.

Business slowed down, and the company was in trouble.

This time, something unexpected happened from the employees.

They voluntarily agreed to take a 60% pay cut from their salary to help the company survive.

They didn't have to be forced.

They did it because they remembered what their CEO had done for them when things were going well.

When business eventually recovered, Dan paid back every cent of the salary they had sacrificed.

And to show him how much they appreciated him, his employees came together and bought him a brand-new Tesla.

The man gave up millions to give his employees for a better life.

And when he needed help, those same employees stood by him.

Now tell me how these his employees will betray him after everything he has done for them even if they're offered millions of dollars to betray him .

Suspension of Examination Fees: A Victory for the People

I received the welcome news of the suspension of the newly introduced examination fees with relief. This is a victory for the Nigerian people.

While I commend the authorities for listening to the widespread public outcry and suspending the policy, it must be said that the fee was an unnecessary burden that should never have been introduced at this time of great hardship, when we should be doing everything possible to invest in basic education and reduce the millions of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

At a time when many families are struggling to make ends meet, access to education should be expanded, not restricted. Education is a fundamental right and a public good, not a source of government revenue.

Imposing multiple fees at the basic education level risks denying many children their right to education. At that stage, the State has a duty to invest in educating and preparing its citizens for productive lives, not to erect financial barriers that keep them out of school.

True leadership is demonstrated not only by making decisions but also by having the humility to reverse policies that impose unnecessary hardship on the people. Many other anti-people policies deserve similar reconsideration.

I thank the citizens, parents, and advocacy groups whose voices made this reversal possible.

The Obidients will decide who will be in that National Assembly. There is no forgiveness in politics because lives are at stake. Hunger is involved. Families are involved. Joblessness is at stake. Japa is at stake. If it’s forgiveness you seek, you should visit the nearest church.

Those who abandoned Nigerians (at the point of our needs) to party & lounge with the Enemy, will be punished at the polls. We are not the devilish APC, we are not politicians either.

None of us is your slave. The names you see below will fail fantastically. Mark their names, the NDC should note that these are “Persona non grata,” they won’t have our votes this time. We don't want to associate with any of them.

We will use them as scapegoats to set a very big example. We are going to teach them the lesson of their lives. They will serve as perfect examples, a constant reminder to others that treachery won’t go unpunished. Those who work against Nigerians will receive their reward

I have lived 23 years in Nigeria and 17 years abroad. Here is what self-help gurus won't tell you

1. You can't outwork your location

I worked hard growing up in Nigeria.
Anyone who went to school with me will tell you.

I will resume school later than my mates due to late payment of fees and I will still end up among the best in class.

Poverty showed me shege!

Then I moved abroad.
Same person. Same work ethic. Same drive.

My currency had actual purchasing power.
My labour was valued 10x higher for the same work.
Infrastructure actually functioned.

That's not mindset or manifestation.

That's geography.

Your location determines your floor and ceiling.
Hard work only determines where you land within that range.

It is not your fault. It is the structural reality.

2. What you work on matters more than how hard you work.

This shifted everything for me.

Before you ask "How can I work harder?" ask this:
"The people who did this work before me - where did they end up? Do I want to end up there?"

If you don't like the destination, effort alone won't save you.

You need a different path, not more hours.

3. If you can't move physically, move digitally

I know what it feels like to have your geography hold you hostage.
But here's the only advantage our generation has: The internet doesn't check your passport like embassy.

20 years ago, I used Google to research scholarships.
Today, you have ChatGPT, Claude, and tools that would have seemed like magic back then.
But most people use the internet to scroll, not to build.
They consume content instead of creating it.
They watch other people win instead of building their own leverage.

Same tools. Completely different outcomes.

Gurus won't tell you this because it destroys their "100% mindset" business model.

Focus on these three and 2026 won't look like 2025.

Location × Leverage × Work Ethic = Outcome
