‼️🌐🇮🇷Iranian media reports missile attack on Bahrain’s Salman Port due to US logistics equipment being transported.

On March 2, 2026, Iranian state and semi-state media (including IRGC-affiliated channels such as Tasnim, Fars and Press TV) reported a successful missile and drone attack on the Mina Salman Port area in Bahrain.

According to Iranian sources, the port and adjacent maritime facilities were targeted because they were used to transport and store US logistics equipment intended to support US and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior confirmed that the Iranian attack hit a maritime facility near Mina Salman Port, causing a fire. Civil Defense extinguished the fire. It was also reported that debris from the downed Iranian missile caused a fire on a foreign ship in the Salman Industrial City, killing one foreign worker (an Asian worker) and injuring two others.

Bahrain’s air defenses (supported by the US) shot down most of the incoming projects – a total of 61 missiles and 34 drones in one wave on March 2.

The port of Mina Salman is a key location for the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet and Naval Support Activity Bahrain (NSA Bahrain), which serves as a logistics hub for US operations in the Persian Gulf.

Video footage shows thick black smoke over the port and explosions in the Juffair/Mina Salman area. Bahraini authorities evacuated parts of the Juffair district, closed schools and went to home office in many sectors.

The attack is part of a wider Iranian retaliation that has hit US and allied targets in Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Iran says the attacks are targeting only military and logistical facilities supporting aggression against Iran, not civilian infrastructure.
