Just my two cents. If you plan to go to the US, either as an immigrant or a refugee, you need to understand this. You are a guest in someone’s home. You follow their rules and respect their home. If you take something from them, you’re out. If you disrespect them, you’re out. And if you hurt any of their real family, bye bye. If you can’t follow basic etiquette, then stay in your own country.

@Jopie197802 @elonmusk All of which you said is true, but that was 50-100 years ago. South Africa has none of those anymore, and as for trade, the Suez Canal took care of that. But it still has, or had, a great agricultural sector. Hence the need to protect farmers.
