@AdrianDittmann This flight intentionally had much higher acceleration to test how well the heat shield tiles would remain attached at high dynamic pressure.
Test was successful.
GOOD NEWS 🚖 Job postings on Tesla’s careers page strongly suggest that Phoenix in Arizona, San Antonio and Fort Worth in Texas, have been selected as the next target cities for Robotaxi service expansion 🔥
This will expand Tesla’s Robotaxi service footprint to 10 cities across 4 states (Texas, Florida, California, plus Arizona) 🔥
CYBERCABs SPOTTED IN CHARLOTTE, NC 👀
It looks like Tesla could be laying the groundwork for another Robotaxi launch.
If that’s the case, Tesla has an opportunity to beat Waymo into an entirely new city. 🚀
Grazie
Zero has changed in the probability of Tesla's future earnings. Thus, the discounted current value based on earnings 2-5 years out hasn't changed by one red cent.
Hot hands, paper hands, options traders are taking advantage of human frailty. But the smart money is buying $TSLA at these levels hand over fist.
In the current context, where Tesla is about 40% below its all-time high (reached last December, seven months ago), and has been severely attacked over the last two days, I find it useful to offer a short historical reminder of Warren Buffett’s investment in BYD, a kind of competitor to Tesla.
In 2008, Berkshire Hathaway invested $230 million in BYD. And it did so after the stock had already lost 60% in the months leading up to the investment. Sort of a good deal!
But after an initial boom (the stock jumped +40% when news broke that the Oracle of Omaha had invested) and a peak 18 months later in 2010, his position then dropped 75%.
Market doubts, extreme volatility, violent declines...
Warren, for his part, didn’t flinch…
He went on to multiply his investment by more than 30× (he started selling in 2022 and had fully exited by 2025).
I’m more convinced than ever of the huge potential of Tesla and its lasting intrinsic competitive advantages, so I don’t have the slightest issue with the recent stock fall. On the contrary, I see it as an opportunity.
@elonmusk and his team have my full trust, for the long term. And as for start-ups, I always bet on people above all.
I was reading again in the early morning the summary of Tesla’s Q2 2026 (as presented in their quarterly update).
To be ironic, we indeed have all the signs of a company in structural and inevitable decline, one that doesn’t know where it’s going!
More seriously:
- Tesla is more bullish than ever on the future and has absolute confidence in its mission to revolutionize transportation (robotaxis & Cybercab), energy, and productivity (with Optimus).
- But this will require heavy investments (already negative FCF in Q2), time (the major takeoff will clearly not happen before 2027; the ramp-up will initially be slow, then non-linear), and of course a lot of hard work and perfect execution.
In short, it seems that for once they have provided concrete elements to better manage expectations, and that is highly appreciable.
I remain just as fundamentally bullish on the future… while giving no short-term forecast on $TSLA, which in fact I couldn’t care less about.
With one caveat: if $TSLA continues to fall, which is entirely possible, at some point I will clearly regret not having more cash to accumulate massively!
Still targeting $2000 by 2030.
Ark Invest bought 160,000 Tesla shares yesterday, and I expect them to do so again today, and it is important to understand that Cathie & Team have a very impressive track record of finding and buying around the bottom after a correction.
It has never been a bad idea to copy Ark Invest’s buying strategy for Tesla.
Ark Invests Tesla price target remains at $2,600 $tsla
Anyone who can profoundly read, listen, analyze, and draw conclusions with a clear head understands that Tesla, as a company, has a bright future ahead and the current sell-off is excessive, and the stock is currently a bargain. It may even continue but no one knows.
IMO the fear of delays and slow Robotaxi roll-out is overblown and we may have seen the beginning of Teslas Management underpromising at the earnings call in Q2 to prepare for overdelivering in Q3.
Listening and reading carefully is an art and I believe most have once again not understood that the Tesla Management is extremly bullish about the company and thats the reason they invest a lot and grow the business to the next level while still focussing on profits, margin and cash flow.
Profoundly understanding Tesla and the words of its Management has made me financially independent because if I would have believed in Analysts, Media or Wall Street I never would have made any money with Tesla therefore you better disregard them.
Patience and not reacting out of emotions is anotehr skill needed to ride the Tesla rollercoaster but if you do it right there is a lot of money to be made.
I believe there is a valid 100% gain opportunity in the Tesla stock right now because nothing of my previous company assessment has changed after the earnings release and the Stock should therefore be rather at $600 than at $300 today.
Thats the result of my assessment and my conviction in the company and its stock has grown during the earnings release for good reasons.
Ron Baron: "SpaceX is going to be a $20 to $30 trillion company - when people hear that number they say it sounds like you're on drugs - I don't do drugs, I don't drink"
this is him explaining how he turned a $2 billion SpaceX investment into $25 billion across 27 separate transactions, why he just bought another billion on the IPO, and why he thinks he'll make 20 to 30 times from here
"I came to New York in 1969 in debt $15,000 - my credit wasn't good enough to get a telephone"
"$100,000 book value in 1982 - that's now $6 billion"
"we made $40 billion in profits before Elon and $30 billion more with Elon - I think we're going to make hundreds of billions from here"
