The interviewers for the technical position made it known that I did well and all was left with the guys who'll discuss the pay, etc, and talking with money guys, I was told they'd have to communicate with the higher ups for the budget and if they can match my expected range.

Interviewed for a Cloud Specialist position with a tech company in Lagos last week, and after we rounded up the first interview, another meeting was set for the following day to discuss my current pay alongside benefits with the expected pay.

If only they had the balls to tell me they are unable to afford me considering my current monthly net, the benefits I enjoy at my current place, and what I am proposing as my expected pay, not that I wasn't qualified enough for the role.
