I budgeted ₦1k to go to church, but I ended up spending over ₦5k inside the church because I was ashamed to say no. I made donations I honestly didn’t want to make, just to maintain my aura and avoid looking somehow.

I’m honestly tired of this pattern. Some pastors will tell stories about someone who “risked it all” and then God surprised them, just to pressure you into giving. “Trust God. Have faith. See what God will do.”

But is this really what faith is supposed to look like? 😭

Is God now a money-minded being? I genuinely don’t understand.
