Sources: The Coastal Athletic Association is in deep discussions with Fairfield about joining the league. The CAA has extended an invitation for full membership to Fairfield. While the deal is not finalized, Fairfield is expected to depart the MAAC/Metro in the near future for the CAA.
Some non-FBS NCAA Division I realignment news: Fairfield University is in negotiations to leave the Metro Conference to join the Coastal Athletic Association, sources tell @YahooSports.
