Creation week was real. The universe measured by science is ancient. Adam lived roughly 6,000 years ago. And the entire deep-time history described by science is a consequence of his Fall.

Fallen Earth Creationism proposes this sequence:

Original creation → Adam and Eve → Fall → fallen creation

After the Fall, Adam and Eve entered fallen creation roughly 6,000 years ago on its internal clock. That creation’s 13.8-billion-year past is real, including evolution, predation, extinction, and suffering, but it is causally downstream of the Fall.

That is FEC in its simplest form.

I appreciate the engagement! Your astrophysical objection still places the Fall a few thousand years ago inside the 13.8-billion-year history. FEC does not. The Fall brought forth that entire fallen history.

Ancient photons really traveled for billions of years. Stars really formed at different times. The evolutionary record is genuine, and FEC has no need to deny that evolution occurred. Adam entered fallen creation at a recent point within its history. That history did not begin when he entered it. Therefore, there is no light-delay problem and no appearance-of-age claim.

FEC also proposes neither a second Earth running alongside ours nor a “magic portal.” Genesis says Adam and Eve were expelled from Eden. FEC claims that their Fall and expulsion were cosmic in scope without pretending to know the physical mechanism.

Your Neanderthal caricature assumes that Adam entered hundreds of thousands of years ago and that the image of God is anatomical. Neither is an FEC claim. Image-bearing cannot be reduced to body shape. Cain’s wife could have been a biologically modern evolved human without Adam having been made “in her image.”

Their compatibility also need not be an astonishing coincidence. If fallen creation was brought forth as the fallen counterpart of the original creation, its real natural history could be providentially ordered toward conditions capable of receiving Adam and Eve. Whatever human lineages existed then, humanity is now one. All fell through Adam, and redemption is offered through Christ.

Those are serious questions worth discussing. But “Q.E.D.” requires refuting the model itself, not a timeline and mechanism the model never proposed. You have not broken FEC.

As a Christian, I have no problem with Noah’s flood being regional. Fallen Earth Creationism neither depends upon a global flood nor uses it to explain the geological record. Your graphic therefore attacks a position I do not hold.

The literary question is separate. Similarities and chronological priority can establish a relationship between texts, but they do not automatically prove plagiarism. Your 2100 BCE date also conflates the early Sumerian Gilgamesh poems with the later Akkadian epic containing the flood episode, whose precursor is Atrahasis. Even if Genesis deliberately reworked Mesopotamian material, that could be theological polemic rather than plagiarism. One parallel narrative certainly does not establish that “the OT is plagiarized.”

You’re collapsing three different claims: no global flood, no historical flood of any scope, and Genesis plagiarized an earlier text. Genesis says the Nephilim existed “also afterward,” and Numbers associates the post-Flood Anakim with them. If every human lineage outside Noah’s family was eliminated, where did the later Nephilim come from? The text permits several answers, but exclusive descent from Noah is not as effortless as it first appears.
