What if the APR they can charge is limited to 1% higher than they pay it's savers, they could always foreclose on the loan if it goes bad

The banks should be limited in how high the interest rate is. It should be capped to no more than 1 or 2% higher than they currently pay their savers.
After all they are using the savers money to lend

And they can foreclose on bad loans

The solution to the cost of housing is not 50yr mortgages.

It is the interest rate. A bank should not be able make more than 1% more than they currently paying it's savers.

If they are paying 2% to savers, then lend that money out, it should be capped at 3% to borrowers

So all the federal workers are going to get backpay for the last 40 days even if they didn't work .. that's like almost a 6 week paid vacation.

They should not get paid, like when union members strike.
