York city centre neighbourhood policing team would like to say a big thankyou to members of the public who assisted PC 1016 in his pursuit of a wanted male. Thanks to their assistance in a car and by lending a bicycle, a male wanted for house burglary is currently in custody.

Bike brought back to where it belongs 🚲
Great news - we've returned this stolen bike to its rightful owner. We previously posted it on social media to find them, and they got in touch!
A great result, but we're not done - enquiries are ongoing into other suspected offences.

A significant exercise at York Minster 👇
Last night we worked with @NorthYorksFire@YorksAmbulance and @York_Minster to test our readiness for a major terrorist incident.
The exercise was called Exercise Obtundity.

In memory of PC Andrew Bramma 🕯
On this day in 2013, PC Andrew Bramma received fatal injuries and died at the age of 32.
He was answering an emergency call when his patrol van left the road and struck a tree in West Tanfield, near Ripon.
We will always remember him 💙
