@wealthagent Gordon , Ray is not a Lawyer and had no remit to review the conduct of these bodies! He should've had Government Lawyers to guide him on this and the Legality of the Unfairness issue of special terms to 1 Group!
@wealthagent Ray McCann was hired for the review! He has no power or influence in HMRC! Otherwise, he would have asked for the ambit to be widened, at the start!
@wealthagent Concerning, that they can't see the bigger picture! It's the unfairness of offering a deal to one Group, when there are others not being offered a deal, but getting letters saying HMRC want to resolve all DR tax years!!!
@wealthagent The sad truth is the Review cannot bring finality; as there are many who have been in a variety of DR schemes, over periods up to 20 years! A deal for the last few years and the odd APN paid; Still leaves their position unresolvable!!!
@wealthagent When an individual applies (whether directly or through professionals) to the FTT to appeal a Closure notice they receive an individual case reference number.Later stayed behind a single or several Lead Claimants.
@wealthagent Sadly, without any tax lawyer input. The reference numbers related to at most, one https://t.co/RLbUnayjZ5 have to have either a Case Management hearing, or agreement from HMRC to have a list of Lead Claimants and the rest Stood Behind!
@wealthagent The problem is that the legal effect of the review, is to treat unfairly, those who have yet to settle for years outside the review parameters:
And those who have already settled on poorer terms.
Both Groups need to advocate for the same terms and Litigation to force the issue!
@wealthagent Bizarre decision from someone who acknowledges HMRC' s failures in dealing with the whole Disguised Remuneration debacle: Then gives a discount to one Group and damns the others!
@wealthagent@ArmadilloSupprt Yes, I have seen this transference approach attempted on me! I had the false comments removed, but the individual ran off to Northern Cyprus with six figures plus of his Client's money!
