31st Oct 2009 - SSgt Olaf Sean George Schmid GC, RLC was tragically killed. Oz responded to 42 IED tasks, personally dealing with 70 confirmed IEDs. Selfless gallantry, devotion to duty & his indefatigable courage saved countless military & civilian lives. ' Not Forgotten ' ❤️
On this day 19th April 2011. Captain Lisa Jade Head of 321 (EOD&S) Sqn @11_EOD_Regiment RLC, succumbed to serious injuries received on the 18th April in Helmand Province, Afghanistan at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.

11th Jan 2010..Captain Daniel Read, RLC was tragically killed as a result of an explosion which happened in the Musa Qaleh area of Northern Helmand Province. Dan deployed on Op HERRICK 11 as a HT IEDD Operator - attending 21 tasks and had dealt with 32 IED's.

On this day July 20th 2009, Capt Daniel Shepherd GM of @11_EOD_Regiment@UKArmyLogistics was killed in Afghanistan. Capt Shepherd was serving with the Joint Force EOD Group when he died following an explosion in the Nad-e-Ali District of Helmand Province. " Not Forgotten "
17th July 1975, WO2 23487353 Edward Garside (RAOC) who was killed whilst examining an IRA decoy bomb at Ford's Cross, Co. Armagh. No.2, 24228287 Cpl Calvert W. Brown (RAOC) was also killed along with Major Peter Willis (Green Howards) & Sgt Robert McCarter (RE)

On this day, 17th July 2010, 25130109 Staff Sergeant Brett G. Linley GM, serving with the C-IED Task Force in support of Combined Force Nahr-e Saraj (South), was killed in an explosion during a C-IED operation in the Nahr-e Saraj District of Helmand Province.

Humbled this week to have volunteers from @ancalawater along with soldiers from the QM’s Dept & 421 EOD&S Sqn help spruce up the Regt’l memorial garden in Vauxhall Bks, as well as donate new benches for the stunning tranquil spot on camp.
