The chart shows decades of debasement, not the last two-plus years. When Milei entered office, inflation was 211%, the primary deficit about 3% of GDP, and poverty later peaked above 50% after the initial adjustment. Since then inflation has fallen to the low 30s, the government has run consecutive primary surpluses for the first time in 15 years, GDP grew 4.4% in 2025 after the 2024 contraction, and official poverty dropped to 28.2% by late 2025. The peso is still weak (~1,500 per dollar) because Argentina is crawling out of a deep hole under a managed exchange-rate regime. That is not the same as “Milei made the currency worthless.” The relevant comparison is the trajectory after the inherited crisis, not a 2013–2026 line that mostly predates him.

The post is therefore better read as a comment on Argentina’s long monetary history than as a fair scorecard of the current administration’s results.

Canada is a major oil producer but can’t fully fuel itself. It has only ~1.9 million barrels/day of refining capacity and still imports gasoline, jet fuel and other products due to regional gaps.

Texas alone has 6.1 million barrels/day of refining capacity.

Canada’s entire fuel demand is about 1.5 million barrels/day.

One U.S. state could theoretically supply all of Canada’s gasoline, diesel and jet fuel several times over.

The limit isn’t the refineries. It’s pipelines and geography.

🇵🇱 HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENT: POLISH SWIMMER BECOMES THE FIRST PERSON EVER TO SWIM THE BALTIC SEA FROM SWEDEN TO POLAND 🔥

Bartłomiej Kubkowski has just written history.
After five attempts over several years, the Polish ultra-swimmer completed a nonstop crossing of the Baltic Sea — more than 160 km in around 55 hours without sleep, without rest, and without touching the support boat.
He started from Sweden on Friday and reached the beach in Dziwnów (West Pomerania) on Sunday evening, where crowds were waiting for him. After getting out of the water he was so exhausted he admitted he “still doesn’t know” what it feels like to have actually done it. During the second day he even experienced hallucinations.
In 2025 he had come agonizingly close — swimming 159 km before losing consciousness just 11 km from the finish. This time he finished the job.
He dedicated the historic swim to the children supported by the Cancer Fighters Foundation.
