🇬🇧 The Long Game, or How Russians Suddenly Realized They're Being Systematically Reduced to Zero
A remarkably sober — and therefore deeply alarming — realization is beginning to dawn in the swamps. Russian analysts have suddenly opened their eyes and understood that the current fuel crisis in Crimea, the airport shutdowns in Sochi, and the holes in Russia's air defenses are not "random strikes" or a "seasonal escalation."
They are the culmination of a long-term, cold-blooded strategy — one that bears all the hallmarks of a distinctly British style of planning. 🕵️♂️
While the Kremlin was thinking in terms of "taking Bakhmut in ten months" and drawing arrows on maps, Ukraine and its allies were playing a classic game of attrition and interdiction.
Step by step, patiently and methodically, Russia was being pushed into a logistical dead end:
Stage 1: Clearing the Sea
First came Snake Island. Then the opening of the maritime corridor. Then the systematic pushing of Russia's Black Sea Fleet out of Crimea and into Novorossiysk.
The fortress was left without naval cover.
Stage 2: Dismantling the Umbrella (the part Russians prefer not to discuss)
At the same time, Ukrainian forces effectively neutralized Russian aviation at Crimean airfields and systematically destroyed S-400 air defense units.
Whether the occupiers failed to notice or simply refuse to admit it, Crimea was transformed from an "unsinkable aircraft carrier" into a hollow, perforated corridor through which Ukrainian missiles and drones can now pass freely on their way deeper into Russia itself.
Stage 3: Drying Up the Fuel Supply
Instead of random strikes, a steady weekly campaign began against Russian oil refineries and fuel depots.
When you systematically target the same category of infrastructure for months, shortages become not a possibility, but a mathematical certainty.
Stage 4: The Land Corridor Trap
When the Kerch Bridge became increasingly incapable of handling heavy military traffic, the occupiers triumphantly declared:
"We built a railway through Mariupol — we're safe now!"
But it turned out to be a trap.
They had simply concentrated nearly all of their military logistics onto a single narrow route — one that can now be targeted along much of its length.
And now the results are visible:
Fuel depots are burning.
Airports are closing.
The "Crimean authorities" are opening hotlines to ration gasoline to tourists — strictly by passport, and only for a one-way trip toward the bridge. 🎪🚗
SO:
While they comfort themselves with stories about the "treacherous West" and wait for some new negotiator to save them, the noose around southern Russia's logistics network continues to tighten.
A patient, systematic, long-term operation.
The main thing now is having enough fuel left in the tank to reach Kerch.
To leave.
And never come back.
I suppose that would be Stage 5.
Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! 🇺🇦
Look at this cruelty, never in my life have I seen an elephant in such conditions we should weep in shame. Animal abuse shows its face again. @freebunka inside this shithole of a barn humans. Sorry Bunka 💔🐘💔
I no longer understand the so-called civilized world.
Another massive russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine.
🛑 Kyiv: 4 killed, 50+ injured, including 3 children.
🛑 Dnipro: 6 killed, including a rescuer, 36 injured.
Where is the world's outrage?
This is extremely shameful.
🇦🇺Australian filmmaker Juliet said:
"I was raped by an Israeli soldier inside a darkened shipping container while handcuffed and shackled on a Gaza aid flotilla.
They also used water torture and beatings."
The matter is even more shameful when the whole world is silent and toothless on this 😭
🚨🚨🇦 🇷🇺The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant - the largest in Europe, running on diesel generators that have already failed 15 times since the full-scale invasion - reported to the IAEA that a building on site was damaged in a Russian drone attack.
Russia is attacking a nuclear facility it occupies.
The plant sits on the Dnipro River across from Nikopol, where civilians are hunted by Russian drones daily. It operates six Soviet-era reactors. Its diesel generators have failed 15 times. Every failure brings Europe closer to a Chornobyl-scale disaster - except this plant is twice the size of Chornobyl.
@CaolanReports documented it. The thread documented it. The IAEA has been warning about it since 2022.
Tonight Russia struck a building inside the plant.
"A nuclear disaster here doesn't respect borders. It doesn't care about your politics." - Caolan, in the video that opens our thread.
The drone war that started in Donbas is now hitting Europe's largest nuclear plant - operated by the country that built it to threaten Europe.

This is the way🙌
When asked about her readiness to become the EU's chief negotiator with Russia, Kallas mentioned her legal experience.
Kaja Kallas noted that she is able to spot the traps that an aggressor country usually sets during negotiation processes.
I think she's a good choice, I support this...😉
💔 Russia is a terrorist state, one murdering civilians with missiles with impunity as the richest nations with the most powerful military forces in the world right next door choose every day not to stop it.

Five years ago, Scotland’s beautiful “Highland Tiger” was declared functionally extinct in the wild. Today, wild-born kittens are roaming the Highlands again. 🐾
Through dedication, science, and patience, conservationists released specially bred European Wildcats back into their ancestral home and it worked. Recent trail cameras have confirmed new generations being born in the wild.
Stories like this remind us that nature can recover when people choose to protect it instead of give up on it.
In a world full of bad news, conservation success stories like the Scottish Wildcat, California Condor, and Iberian Lynx prove that extinction doesn’t always have to be the ending.
Nature is resilient. Hope matters.
Odesa is where russian n@zis executed civilians today.
Never forget that it’s not just Putin. It is russia. It is who they are. They won’t change with new leader. This is russia. This is what russia values. This is what russia exists to do.
They value nothing but myth of their own greatness. They don’t value life. They don’t value friendship, compassion, kindness, decency. They exist to destroy. That is their entire value system no matter if Putin lead them or Stalin or Tzar.
They will never allow peace because basic human values like peace have no meaning for them.
