I am deeply incredibly honored and humbled to share that I was awarded Best Radio Presenter (Morning Show) – Lagos at the 7th Annual Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA 2026)!
I dedicate this award to my parents who are no longer with us, but without whom I wouldn't be who I am today.
A huge thank you all who voted for me, my family and close friends for standing by me, and to the NBMA organizers and the esteemed judges for this incredible recognition. This award is a testament not only to my work but to the incredible team I get to work with every single day. Their support and dedication make every morning broadcast possible.
I'd also like to dedicate this award to our wonderful listeners at Nigeria Info FM, Lagos. Your energy, your calls, and your loyalty are the reason I love what I do. Thank you for making every morning an adventure! To the leadership team at Nigeria Info FM, thank you for making this the platform to beat.

@bolaadesope Truly truth! 💯
My mum passed in the hands of these callous individuals! Especially that ICU department! And all you said was our first hand experience. Much more to recount!
LUTH and the Doctors/nurses at LUTH are so inhumane and disgustingly wicked…..
How do you work in healthcare but have absolutely no human compassion????
This is unbelievable.
Alot of abandonment, alot of neglect, alot of arrogance. alot of theft, alot of unprofessionalism..
This is not fair!
There’s a troubling idea making its rounds—loud in pulpits, popular in prayers, and viral in deliverance circles. It’s the belief that our forebears—four or five generations back—were nothing more than covenant-makers with darkness, idol worshippers who traded our destinies on evil altars, and spiritual saboteurs whose actions are the reason we struggle today.
But let's pause and ask: is that the full story?
Is it fair—or even truthful—to label every ancestor as a curse carrier? To reduce entire generations of our bloodline to a tale of oaths, rituals, and demonic transactions, without acknowledging the sacrifices, the faith, the dignity, and the light many of them carried—especially in times when the light was hard to find?
It's not just lazy theology. It's unjust,it's not fair!
Many of our ancestors were survivors. Seekers. Silent warriors who raised families with godly values even before there were megachurches, conferences, or social media prayers.
Some were Christians who didn’t speak in tongues but lived with deep conviction. Some didn’t know Jesus by name yet, but like Cornelius, they prayed, gave, feared God—and heaven noticed. Some, like those in ancient Athens, built altars to the unknown God and worshipped in ignorance but with sincerity.
This isn’t a denial of curses. They exist. But this is a necessary challenge to the sweeping generalisation that nothing good, godly, or redemptive existed in our lineage. Because the truth is—you are here today, thriving and born again, not just because of warfare, but because someone in your line carried faith, even if it was imperfect.
So maybe, before we go on another ancestral cleansing spree, we should pause to honour those who lit candles in the dark—those who prayed, sacrificed, gave, and raised godly children in times of great difficulty.
Maybe it’s time to give them their flowers. And reclaim the redemptive story in our lineage.
1. God has already denounced the proverb of inherited blame
The idea that “what our fathers did is the reason we suffer today” was specifically refuted by God Himself.
In Jeremiah 31:29–30 (KJV), God said:
“In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity...”
Again, in Ezekiel 18:2–3, He thundered:
“What mean ye, that ye use this proverb... The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge? As I live, saith the Lord God, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.”
That’s God Himself putting an end to the theology of inherited doom.
2. The myth of a dark Africa is theologically flawed
Let’s talk facts, not fear.
The idea that Africa was entirely dark and idolatrous until missionaries showed up is not only historically inaccurate, it is theologically shallow.
In Acts 8:27–39, the Ethiopian eunuch, a top government official from Africa, was already a student of Scripture. He went to Jerusalem to worship and was reading Isaiah on his way home.
In Acts 2:10, during Pentecost, Egyptians, Libyans, and Africans from Cyrene were present in Jerusalem. They were part of the initial outpouring of the Holy Ghost. They were not pagans; they were devout.
In Acts 10:1–4, Cornelius, a Gentile military officer, prayed regularly and gave alms. He didn’t even know Jesus yet, but his prayers and alms came up for a memorial before God.
So, before the Gospel even reached them, Africans and Gentiles were already seekers of God—God-fearers in pursuit of light.
If Cornelius could get divine attention without knowing Christ yet, and the eunuch could read Isaiah and make pilgrimages, why do we think all our ancestors were exclusively dancing around idols and pouring libations?
It’s a dangerous generalisation. And it’s false.
3. Our ancestors had light—maybe not in tongues, but in truth
Let me bring this home with my own story.
There are at least 4 types of wealth:
1. Financial wealth (money)
2. Social wealth (status)
3. Time wealth (freedom)
4. Physical wealth (health)
Be wary of jobs that lure you in with 1 and 2, but rob you of 3 and 4. —James Clear
5. Spiritual wealth (peaceful mind)
