The full transcript of the judge's sentencing remarks in the Fordingbridge gang rape case is damning.

The judge found no evidence of violence.

They brought a knife - an implicit threat of violence.

They raped the girls. That is sexual violence.

I’m also deeply concerned by his reflections around consent.

Consenting to sexual activities does not excuse anything, nor give a green light for anything the predator wants.

Consent was withdrawn.
