Bagholders Anonymous is a meme and community for retail traders who got stuck holding the bag.. buying stocks at the top during massive pumps, only for the price to crash while they hold through heavy losses hoping for a miracle recovery. It became super popular in 2021 during the GME saga on Wallstreetbets and Robinhood. Thousands of retail investors FOMO’d into GME (and AMC, etc.) at peak prices. When the short squeeze faded and Robinhood restricted buys, many became long-term bagholders turning diamond hands into a painful joke. It’s basically a support group parody: “Hi, my name is "X" and I’m a bagholder anonymous…” The first step is admitting you have a problem.
