@NFL when are we’re getting the rest of the “come and ride the float” commercial. There must’ve been less than a third of the league’s teams in that one. I have it memorized and rap it on the job site. I want to see the whole thing. We want to see the whole thing. #RideTheFloat
Temple QB Evan Simon explains why the single-digits convened a players-only meeting after last week’s loss to Navy, and what they concluded: “How do you move on? You inflict pain on someone else.”
Temple Coach KC Keeler on defending against Oklahoma dual-threat QB John Mateer: “It’s going to be important for us to get as many hits on him as possible. It’s a cumulative thing … When he pulls the ball down and becomes a running back, he has to pay the price.”
Is Temple the grittiest school in the country? You have to be if you’re from Philly!
This box takes me back, man. Thanks Coach Keeler and @temple_fb for the gear!
One good ride from start to end 🌹
Thirty years ago today, the Dead played their final show at Soldier Field in Chicago. The second of a two-night stint, the show concluded after two sets with two encores: “Black Muddy River” and “Box of Rain.”

55 years ago today, the Grateful Dead sub-headlined a rainy “Super Saturday Rock Festival” at Temple Stadium alongside the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Steve Miller Band, Cactus, and more on the bill. With lingering concerns about electric shock onstage, echoes of Woodstock in mind, the band played through, even switching slots with Steve Miller to make a flight that night (though they still ran about 20 minutes over). Roughly 10,000 fans turned out with $6.50 tickets to catch a stacked lineup of late-’60s heavyweights.

In sports, when we lose close, we say that the refs or the leagues or Vegas.
But I cannot in my heart believe that Gabby was not the highest voted contestant on @AmericanIdol tonight.
I do believe it was fixed.

In 2023, we started a project of putting NCAA football team logos over state outlines, because we noticed that Texas teams do this all the time.
We took a break during the season, but we're starting back up again.
Next up, Pennsylvania . 1/too many.
I don't think people realize how incredible it is that a movie rendered in nearly real-time in free software on a single computer just won the Oscar for best animated film. If there was ever any proof you don't need AI, this is it.
