I recently saw a post citing a 1985 interview, when Oprah Winfrey asked Fred Rogers what he believed to be the biggest mistake parents make when raising their children, he answered: “Not to remember their own childhood. . . . When you are a parent you have a new chance to grow.”

At the park earlier this week I walked past a fence with blooming honeysuckle. The smell reminded me of being a kid.

Yesterday at a business meeting we did a guided exercise to use memory and prompts to write a poem.
