2010. South Africa. They said theft will be at an all-time high. Unsafe for world cup. Didn't happen.
2014. Brazil. Complained about some of the remote places the venues were. Unsafe for players. Didn't happen.
2018. Russia. "It's not a democracy". There would be marginalization. People would not even be free or allowed entry. Didn't happen.
2022. Qatar. " Slave built stadiums ". A morally bankrupt nation. " It cannot be fun". The tournament is horrible. No alcohols. Religious intolerance. Didn't happen.
2026. US. All the above happening.
We see.
Genuinely emotional watching Haiti play again in the World Cup. No nation has been so thoroughly & repeatedly spat on and humiliated by the Western world for the crime of demanding its own freedom and self-determination as them. Seeing them back on the global stage is incredible.
Someone said who even stays up to watch matches like Haiti vs Scotland. Honestly, that's the whole point of the World Cup. The best moments don't always come from the big nations, they come from the games nobody expects anything from.
Clamorosi Hamilton e #Ferrari#BarcelonaGP
With the start of every race week, people start talking about why we might not see Lewis at the front for whatever reason they can find. And every week, Lewis Hamilton coming back to prove them wrong again and again. I love being his fan!
I really don't enjoy how commentators spend the whole time downplaying Lewis's pace. He literally got P1 in Q1 and they kept saying he was "off the pace" throughout quali.
It's just boring. Never any credit, then when he does well it's always "the Ferrari".
