French man Hervé, 56, says he offered part of his renovated former inn in Saint-Juvat, Brittany, to a Mauritian family reported to be living in France without legal status after learning they faced spending the winter on the streets.

The relationship later deteriorated, with Hervé revealing that the migrants targeted him with repeated antisocial behavior, threats, intimidation and damage to his vehicle. After he refused to renew the family's temporary lease and asked them to leave, they remained in the property, prompting him to begin eviction proceedings.

Hervé says repeated court delays have prevented him from regaining possession of the home he spent five years renovating, forcing him to move out while the legal process continues. He says he is now considering selling the property.

Du husker måske loven fra sidste år, hvor stor folkemodstand fik den stoppet.

🚨Hvad er “Chatkontrol”-loven?🚨

En masseovervågningslov.

Den muliggører scanning af vores privatbeskeder.

Det er et historisk stort indgreb i vores privatliv og flere har sammenlignet den med love man normalt kun ser i autokratier.

Loven er blevet hårdt kritiseret af begge politiske fløje og sågar af EUs egne jurister for at stride imod borgernes rettigheder.

Men det har EU været ligeglad med.

Det er ikke kun loven der er blevet kritiseret.
Det er processen for at få den stemt igennem også.

Loven er flere gange blevet nedstemt. Men EU har prøvet igen og igen.

Til sidst brugte de en lyssky og snedig taktik:

I sidste uge lavede de en hasteafstemning.
Lige op til sommerferien, hvor det var sværere at mønstre et stort nok flertal imod loven.

Taktikken virkede.
Selvom et flertal i EU-parlamentet stemte imod, blev loven stadig vedtaget.

Opsummering:
EU var komplet ligeglade med gentagende nedstemninger.
Til sidst trumfede de deres vilje igennem og har nu indført en historisk stor indskrænkning af vores privatliv.

Der er intet demokratisk ved det vi er vidne til.

Vi har i den seneste tid ofte kritiseret USA for at gå ned af en mere autokratisk sti.
Men det er vand sammenlignet med det vi nu ser fra EU.

Det er en skræmmende glidebane EU nu har bevæget sig ud på.

I welcome the UK Government’s move to designate the IRGC as a state threat to national security, involved in threats to life and intimidation. This is an important and welcome move by @keir_starmer and reflects the growing threat from the regime in Iran to UK citizens and interests.
