My 9-year-old told me about a kid who sneezed milk out of his nose at lunch. Then he told me about the math test he failed. Then he told me his best friend said something mean at recess.

“It’s going to make you a great player! By walking, you’re creating a discipline, and you’re hitting into a box. When they come into that box, don’t miss.”

Hitters have a world class coach in their pocket that they use 8 hours a day. (Your phone)
Set it up, press record and compare vs a hitter who stands and strides similar to you.
(This is sped up sooooo much progress for most hitters, very easy and simple)
Here’s how we do it:
- Full speed video + see what stands out
- Evaluate your timing, and ball flight, too
- See what stands out the most that can make the biggest improvement. (Don’t get lost in the tiniest details at the beginning!)
One video, one adjustment, one cue. That’s how you start coaching yourself. Simple and effective.
Send this to a hitter who’s always on their phone but uses their phone for Tik Tok instead of getting better.
(and make sure you’re following)
How I Use My Front Leg.
The front leg block.
All I really think about is putting as much force into the ground as possible.
And to make it easier, I just think about extending it as hard as I possibly can.
Obviously, you don't have to get into extension to throw hard.
Guys like Walker Buehler back in the day when he was throwing 100, he would throw with, you know, a pretty bent back leg.
But it was stable and it was putting a lot of force into the ground, which did its job.
But for myself, I need to think about, okay, I'm trying to extend as hard as I can 'cause that's how I know I'm putting a lot of force into the ground.
And that's what I care about, is how much force is actually going into the ground.
And when I'm able to do that well, you know, these hips are going to clear.
Long-lost footage of Ted Williams explaining his hitting philosophy in the middle of an Oregon fishing trip has been found. To explain this treasure, we talk with perhaps his greatest modern devotee, Joey Votto, as well as his close friend Dave McCarthy. https://t.co/XEA7eLNALP
🚨Coming tomorrow🚨
We thought we'd heard the last new words from Ted Williams, that we'd never have more to learn from the Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived.
We were wrong.
