@northernassist what happened to the 07:55 Dinting to Manchester Piccadilly service this morning, folks? App says cancelled but no reason and obvs the 08:25 is going to be rammed.
@AvantiWestCoast National Rail and Avanti say that issue is resolved with disruption until 1pm. There are 3 Avanti trains an hour after 1pm, until the 5:15 and the same after that. So unless someone is going to shimmy up the pole for 15 minutes to check the wires it can't be due to that issue.
@AvantiWestCoast Sorry Mike, but I'm not sure that can be right seeing as all the other, or most of them at leasr, either side of the 17:15 are running! Can you check further please? And are the more potential cancellations today?
@xxjxmxechxpmxn@northernassist Not My experience at all. I've just come through there to get the Hull train. It was a pleasure seeing plenty of staff at the gates and the one I asked about my ticket and train was very helpful. They were all @TPEassist staff
@northernassist Can we have an update on this please? The 08:55 from Dinting now says 'delayed'. Do we know by how long, and what is the likelihood it will be cancelled like all the rest?
@markgoldbridge It was a pathetic dive. They should have had 3 sent off. Burn was serious foul play and joelinton should be off on a second yellow for dissent. My guess now is that the officials will even things up and send a united player off at the first opportunity.
@deansmig@StanCollymore But if it's 'on the goaline' it isn't a goal. So if, as you suggest, they are one of the same thing, if the ball is on the quadrant, it should be moved within. Just like if the ball is deemed out of play the whole of it should have crossed the line.
Hey @HighPeakBC I've left my 5ft Xmas tree out with the recycling and it hasn'been taken again today. What do I have to do to get it taken as promised in your IG post of Jan 8th?
The #firework debate at Westminster was full of well evidenced speeches, a lot of MPs who spoke had done their homework and many directly quoted their constituents experiences, some were quite shocking.
Sadly the Minister’s response at the end of the debate contained no plan and no timetable for change, she just stated they would “gather the evidence”, despite having just listened to the evidence presented by the MPs who spoke.
If the Minister wants to gather evidence it’s up to us to provide it, here is her email address to write to: [email protected] If you do write, please keep your evidence factual and polite. A few thousand emails now with testimony from real people would keep the pressure on.

Ban Fireworks NOW‼️
‘My heart sank when I heard fireworks near farm'!
A sheep farmer has said he was "emotionally drained" after fireworks set off above his farm caused a number of his animals injuries and some premature ewes to lose their lambs.
Rockets set off above Ballakeenan Farm in Sulby left owner Thomase Cleator helpless as many of his sheep ran in fear across the field.
The following day, four ewes prematurely gave birth to six lambs who did not survive and 10 other sheep were left injured, which he believes was due to being distressed from the night before.
He said it caused "absolute chaos in our flock", adding, "watching animals you care for suffer, because of something so preventable is truly devastating."

Bonfire night - one of the worst nights of the year for dogs, cats, wild animals and more. 7 years ago today fireworks literally frightened big Winston to death. This beautiful boy had a heart attack and lost his life 😭💔
Please everyone keep your dogs safe tonight. Every year dogs bolt from gardens in sheer terror.
✨ Keep dogs inside and doors and windows locked
✨ Trackers on
✨ Use your airlock system when going in or out
✨ Create a cosy den with blankets
✨ Keep the TV or radio on, curtains closed, and lights on to soften the flashes and bangs
✨ Stay calm and positive — dogs pick up on your energy
✨ Give a nice chew or toy to distract us from the noise
We still think of you often Winston 🐶🌈💔 Stay safe everyone, we’ll see you on the other side.
We've been down on the beach today picking up firework debris. It's odd, isn't it, that you can be fined £250 for dropping litter but somehow it's OK to launch rockets containing plastic casings into the sky.
We know many people are angry when they see their pets or vulnerable loved ones quivering with fright caused by #fireworks, we know many people are frightened when they see fireworks #weaponised on our streets and fired like bazookas from moving cars, but
none of the main UK political parties have a detailed national policy to combat #firework misery and #firework fatigue.
The damage night after night fireworks are doing to communities like Bradford, Birmingham, Leeds and Solihull has brought local politicians from all parties together to do what they can locally, but most MPs still remain silent or are in denial there is a #firework problem.
A handful of MPs have raised their voices and The Firework Campaign is grateful to them for their work, but surely now is the time for all MPs to unite and debate changes to the law, not a meeting in some Westminster committee room, but a real debate in the main chamber. There are 650 MPs in the HOC, why or how are they not affected or not seeing the same things as we are? Are they frightened that any real action against fireworks would be a vote loser? This is the only reason we can think of, but it’s time to open your ears @Keir_Starmer.
@KemiBadenoch you are the leader of the opposition, where is your scrutiny of the Government on their failures over fireworks? @ZackPolanski what has happened to your party’s green agenda? The environmental damage fireworks cause is well researched and documented. @Nigel_Farage your party wants to restore British values, law and order to the UK, have you seen the way fireworks are ruining people’s lives up and down the country? Finally @EdwardJDavey some of your local politicians have led the way in councils over this issue yet nationally your party remains silent, why is this?
Every year thousands of people attend fireworks displays, if politicians believe this is proof that they don’t need to act they are completely wrong, behind those numbers there are more people who demand action on public use of fireworks. @UKParliament you must find a way to protect fireworks as a cultural expression AND save the country from the kind of firework anarchy we are seeing and hearing daily. #fireworklawchange
If only there was a way of stopping this kind of antisocial behaviour with #Fireworks. Imagine driving your car on the road or walking to the pub and someone throws explosives at you. What sort of country allows that to happen? If only there was a way of stopping this kind of antisocial behaviour @Keir_Starmer #fireworklawchange
