She smiled and immediately opened her bag.
“Of course.”
Then she gave me two.
I thanked her and went back to my seat.
Five minutes later, another woman leaned over.
“Do you need anything? I have wipes, painkillers and an extra pair of underwear.”
I almost cried.
Then a third woman came over.
“I heard you weren't feeling well. I have a small heat pack if you want it.”
At that point I started laughing.
Because apparently I had accidentally activated the female emergency response team.
None of these women knew me.
We didn't even know each other's names.
But the second one woman needed help, everyone understood the assignment.
And that’s the thing about women.
We can be complete strangers and still look at each other like:
“Girl, I’ve got you.”
