She made sure to wash every inch of her body. When she finished she wrapped a towel around her shut everything off in the bathroom and went to the kitchen to open a bottle of wine and rest on the couch watching tv.

The hospital had been overloaded with patients and Elena had been working nearly 24 hours covering two shifts. She done this often enough to keep busy and to keep out of an empty apartment. With her brother away at school Caroline doing her thing and Bonnie traveling the world >

Elena was alone. Sometimes she’d go out with some of the nurses from the hospital but mostly Elena kept to the quiet of her small apartment. The clock was nearing 8 p.m when Elena walked into her apartment heading into the bathroom to shower before she settled in for the night>
