That’s all the Public Service Commissioner is saying in today’s brief press release.

But next Monday, 3rd February 2025, is D-Day. That’s when Commissioner Brian Roche will finally reveal his findings on whether Tamihere, Te Pāti Māori, and their web of politicians, entities, and marae were involved in any data breaches.

From what I originally uncovered, the story isn’t pretty. It appears Māori personal information was harvested—not protected—by John Tamihere & Co. through shady ‘at-the-door’ forms and dodgy data-collection practices.

Māori deserve better than this. Kiwis deserve better than this.

New Zealand’s political inquiries often feel like toothless tigers, too afraid to expose the hidden rot in our political system. But maybe, just maybe, this time Roche will surprise me and deliver the accountability we all so desperately crave.

I’ll keep saying it… we need to pick fresh politicians and avoid all the rotten apples in politics that have long spoiled. The whole barrel of them needs to be tossed out…they are all compromised.

Remember when Labour was in power and those who opposed them were outraged by laws passed overnight, under the radar, and we found out about it later? If a government is serious about changing things quickly and they are determined to do it, clearly it is possible. If Labour could do it, what the hell is wrong with the current government that they are not doing it? Yes, I know it is a coalition, but what each party wanted was discussed and agreed upon during the 3 weeks of talks after the election. Why could they not come in with the determination of Trump and get things done in a hurry? Soon we will be halfway to the next election? How different is NZ looking since they came into power? Better? Yes. But nowhere damn near better enough.
