In the #Eritrea|n Diaspora, the number of people telling the Eritrean opposition what it’s doing wrong far exceeds those who tell the Eritrean government what it is doing wrong.

This is because criticizing the Eritrean opposition just draws you attention, which is all you wanted to begin with, anyway, without having thought through what you will do with the new-found attention. Criticizing the Eritrean government is guaranteed to result in your disappearance. Happens every single time (unless you publicly change your tune.)

Thus, the Opposition to the Opposition (OTTO) keep making the main point of the opposition: the Eritrean government is a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad government. The kind that kidnaps people. They have a name for organizations which do that.

Most of the people who tragically died crossing the English channel a few days ago were from #Eritrea. I talked to @BBCAfrica about the conditions in the country that has forced countless Eritreans to flee since the dictatorship was established in 2001.
