Be part of the movement amplifying endogenous solutions to menstrual hygiene.
This is preventable by:
๐ Consulting a qualified healthcare professional before taking any medication.
๐ Purchasing medicines only from licensed pharmacies with a valid prescription.
๐ Following the dosage/duration prescribed & never sharing medicines with others.
Buying & using self-prescribed drugs may seem convenient, but also puts your health at serious risk.
Self-medication leads to thousands of preventable hospitalisations and deaths each year โ often from incorrect dosages, dangerous drug interactions, or delayed proper treatment.
โ School Sensitisations โ 5 schools engaged
โ Community Dialogue โ Focus Group Discussion with women in Kombo, amplifying voices and breaking stigma.
โ A team of 8 facilitators from DIBA, FAWOI, Royalty World, Demtou, & WIVADEV ensured diverse expertise and outreach.

Day 8 marked another milestone in our campaign, as sensitisation activities reached schools and communities across Kombo and Bomaka.
We remain grateful to @UNFPACameroon and @Teenalive_2018 for their leadership in driving localised solutions. The GBVIMS training has strengthened our collective ability to ensure that no survivorโs voice is lost, and every report leads to action.

The focus was on data protection, agreements, and ethical information-sharing protocols (ISP). Participants worked through scenarios that tested how reports move from the field directly into our data collection database.
Highlights:
โ Data protection & scenarios โ ensuring survivor information is stored safely.
โ Data agreements & ISP โ clarifying responsibilities for reporting & sharing across organisations.
โ Evaluation โ consolidating lessons & measuring progress through postโtests.
For FAWOI and partners, these skills mean that survivor stories are no longer scattered or lost, but become structured evidence that drives coordinated action.

Day 4 of the GBVIMS Training in Limbe moved from review to technical mastery. Participants began with an outdoor recap game, taking turns to pass the ball to the next person, then advanced into:
โ Incident Recorder Practice โ using the digital tool to ensure survivor data is stored safely and consistently.
โ Handsโon Intake Form Work โ reinforcing precision in documentation.
โ Asking for consent before writing someoneโs story
โ Using the incident recorder to keep stories safe
These help organisations like FAWOI and partners listen carefully, write correctly, and share safely.
When data is clear & protected, survivors of violence get faster, better support, & no one is left behind.
Today we practised
โ Filling intake forms and checking our answers
โ Playing out real scenarios to learn better
โ Understanding roles, places, and how information flows
On the 2nd day of the GBVIMS Training, under the leadership of @UNFPACameroon with @Teenalive_2018, the session focused on:
โ Intake Forms and Coding
โ Practical exercises on coding
โ Incident classification tools
โ Consent
FAWOI remains grateful for this capacity building.
