It’s okay to criticize Gospel Minister Adeyinka because of her call for prayers in a time like this, but what’s not okay is to dispute the power of prayer.
Today, as we joined sons and daughters of Ijebuland and distinguished guests from across the world at the 2026 Ojúdé Ọba Festival, we celebrated not only our rich cultural heritage but also the enduring legacy of our revered monarch, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, whose remarkable reign transformed Ijebuland and strengthened traditional institutions.
We expressed our profound appreciation to President @officialABAT, GCFR, and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their unwavering support, particularly during the transition period following the passing of the Awujale. We also commended the Regent Committee, traditional rulers, Regberegbe groups, and the Ojúdé Ọba Planning Committee for ensuring the successful continuation of this globally celebrated festival.
Nigeria is rich.

Are you guys following Ojude Oba Festival this year?
It’s massive, baby.
Truly, culture is our economic power in Africa.
See the coordination, the elegance, the intergenerational representation, the storytelling, the visibility… absolutely beautiful to watch.
What the world is paying attention to at Ojude Oba is the power of preserving identity in a rapidly changing world.
This is exactly how communities build influence, by protecting what makes them unique and transforming it into opportunity, tourism, pride, and economic relevance.
The LGA council Chairman, Hon. Effiong Okon, did a great job too. His swift action on the matter was everything. The CSO was at the hospital immediately they heard of the incident. The Legislative Leader, Rt. Hon. Grace Bassey, was not left out. She drove straight to the hospital
and gave good support in such a time like this. The Honourable councilor, Hon. Ita Nyoki, representing the ward where this boy belongs was present to follow up on the boy’s medical case. I cannot thank everyone enough for this show of love. This is why it is called ‘community’.
