Thread:
Today is the last day of @FFsake_ as we know it.
Two years ago, @AmandaCC92, @Jason_Arthur & @Just_RichardB met in a pub.
None of them could've dreamed the heights that #FFS scaled from it's humble beginnings.
However, when I (finally) turned 14 in 2018, I joined the Labour Party as soon as I could, later getting involved in wonderful campaigns like @FFSake_ and @Somerset4Europe. Through my party and those campaigns, I met people for the first time ever who I felt accepted...
Pro-EU activism over the last few years has given me so many opportunities, privileges, and experiences I’ll never forget. Not to mention so many life long friends. I owe so much to this movement🇪🇺
Suffice to say, today is a sad day, for lots of people in the UK.
We don’t know what will happen next. We have grave and legitimate concerns.
But we give thanks for two amazing years and know that young people - inside or out of the EU - will lead the way.
Some highlights from the report:
3/4 of all our events were outside of London.
Around 60% of all our media appearances were women and non-binary people.
1/2 speakers at major events were people of colour.
Last night, we held a Thank You Party to show our gratitude to our supporters, activists, colleagues and friends - for what was a brilliant two years.
We also launched our report ‘FFS, What a Campaign’, which you can find at https://t.co/h5Iiim60lj
This is a really good idea - @MayorofLondon is hosting free advice for EU citizens tonight at City Hall between 5pm - 8pm.
RT to spread the word.

At the @FFSake_ wrap up party... I honestly couldn’t be happier. Big props to anyone who helps young people get into politics including @Just_RichardB @Jason_Arthur and @AmandaCC92 who deserve the world ❤️❤️❤️ #milbank43
In the week we'll be leaving the EU, it's lifted my spirits to welcome these young Brits to the European Parliament. They understand the value of our EU membership and care about the UK's other challenges. The present may sometimes look bleak, but there is hope for the future. 🌷
"As a socialist and avid trade unionist, I felt compelled to campaign for a second referendum on Brexit. I don’t regret it. Far from it: I’m proud of the work I did with @FFSake_."

FFS is a proudly cross-party campaign and won't be endorsing any candidates in the #LabourLeadership race - but we encourage any young Labour supporters to join the party before 5pm today to make sure their voices are heard 👇

@TheNewEuropean@FFSake_ "Now, what we do have now is time. Time to think, communicate & organise. We should use it properly. Rushing unprepared into a fight where we're already on the backfoot is terrible strategy - especially when there are serious questions that need to be answered"
