Flights For Their Future

We are a reforestation not-for-profit based around CO2 emissions (with a difference). We want to ensure a safe ecological future for all and we need your help.

A big thank you to Arboricultural Association for an incredibly thought-provoking talk this week 🌳

Learning about carbon capture and the fascinating history of the UK’s Giant Sequoias was inspiring

The session, contained a section on tree health, including honey fungus which effects these iconic trees, really reinforcing why continued learning and science-led action is so crucial.

I hadn't realised there were 500,000 of the main three Redwood species in the UK.

Grateful for the knowledge, community and commitment to protecting our forests for future generations. 💚🌍

International Primate Day.
Orangutans are highly intelligent, emotional, tree-dwelling apes.
They share 97% of our DNA
Essential for #ecosystems
Build nests high in the #rainforest canopy, intricately weaving branches and leaves 🌿
They deserve a #future too

We can't ignore climate change. Huge areas of land, trees and other wildlife are being ravaged, homes and people are dying. We thank all the firefighters who are putting their lives at risk to battle the wildfires 🔥

Now is the time to take action to ensure there is a future 🌎🌳

Join us, together we can slow climate change. Walk, cycle, unplug chargers, sustainable energy, electric vehicles...

In many cases, travel ✈️ is a luxury. The earth is a necessity.

Turn off the lights before they are turned off for us.

The Amazons immense natural beauty. Despite the vital role it plays, an area equivalent of 5 football pitches is cut down every minute.

@VancityReynolds Condolences to you and his family. It is very painful when we lose someone precious. As long as we have our memories of them, they have never truly left. What a beautiful tribute to him. I suspect you helped him too, more than you realise.
Poor rose bush, thank goodness for soup.

The oldest living tree on earth is estimated to be 4856 years old. Methuselah was thought to have been established when the pyramids of Giza were built.

The oldest living forest, The Daintree, is a rainforest on the North East Coast of Queensland, Australia and is estimated to be 180 million years old.

Definitely one to look out for

[Forestry Commission @ForestryComm]

Be alert for signs of Oak Processionary Moth (OPM) as we enter the hatching season.

This tree pest can strip oak trees of their foliage leaving them susceptible to disease. OPM nests and caterpillars are also a hazard to human and animal health.

@PnarSinemG43342 @ETH_en But why there

[Flights For Their Future @FFTFCIC]

We have now completed our first year🌳🌳🌳

https://t.co/kVZpKjycsq With dedication, education both on and off the field, seminars, events, networking and making some great connections, along with the help we have received from our supporters, purchasing trees (some in loved ones memory), donating, volunteering, and landowners allowing us to use a portion of their land, we have arrived at where we are today,

We would like to thank all our supporters for this and hope for your continued support going forward.

We have some exciting things planned for this year which we hope to share with you soon. In the meantime, watch this space.

Excited and grateful, Charlotte and Harry
