Mr. H. Johnson's 7th graders Math Ss create the first shape of their composite shape. Before programming their Dash robot Henry, the Ss check off their Success Criteria to confirm they understand what they have done and what they are about to do to determine perimeter and area.

MS Ss enjoyed their Career Day rotation to learn about Fort Bend Cty library programs and how working at the library is more than answering questions and assisting people find books. The students were able to assist in planning a summer program with Mythology and 3-D Printing.

Enjoying having the HS art Ss' art displayed in the library as they create their @AdobeSpark presentations to reveal artists' styles and mediums as well as what influenced them as Black Artist in the Art World and their impact today. @FBISDSTEM @FBISDFineArts @FBISD_Libraries

MS ELA Ss finish up the production of their Original Children's Story in @WeVideo with voice overs (teachers were voices of adults) and credits as well as citations for images. The Ss learned so much and have created original work of which to be proud. @FBISD_Libraries

Lights, camera, action - first day on "set" filming the introduction scene with Fern (Dash robot) was a success. Our voice person, programmer, and security were ready after practicing several times. Hard work for the win! @Doink will add the finishing touches. @FBISD_Libraries

Ss are "setting the stage" inorder to program the Dash robots for their scenes. Due to the robots' short stature, they will be performing on a table covered in green with a green backdrop. We don't want them zooming off the table, so calculations must be precise! @FBISDSTEM

6th graders continue their quest to create an original children's story with storyline development, movement, and characterization as well as images as the stories will debut in @WeVideo productions with @RobotWonder acting out the action scenes with help from @DoInkTweets.

Discussing the characteristics of children's stories with 6th grade ELA students. They will be creating their own children's stories in the next few days and then turning them into WeVideos with Dash robots for narrators. @FBISD_Libraries @FBISDSTEM #FBISDLearns

Student A: I shouldn't get a book.
Student B: Why?
Student A: Because if I do, I won't pay attention in any of my classes. It'll be worst than having a phone.
