this is so important !! engaging w class content isn’t just limited to how many times a student raises their hand in class. engagement can look like: sharing notes w classmates, tutoring or study sessions, outside-of-school application of content, SO much more

Just because a student does not raise their hand, does not mean that they are not thinking deeply about the content. We need to broaden what we mean by engagement in our classrooms/schools. This will invite/value more students in the learning process.
