In a new low for Channel Nine, they have now sacked Karl Stefanovic from the Today Show after he interviewed Tommy Robinson on his podcast.

It has also been reported that bosses were unimpressed that he showed support for Ben Roberts-Smith in a social media post.

It looks like they're trying to sack my good friend Karl Stefanovic for this video with Tommy Robinson!

Deb Knight was a huge flop for Channel 9 and while she was busy grilling me over One Nation’s polling Channel 9's ratings were in the toilet.

In 2019 on live TV with her, I called on Channel 9 to bring back Karl.

Now with 6 months to go on his contract the weak management of Channel 9 want to sack Karl over this interview.

Tommy Robinson has a lesson for Australians. If we don’t learn from the UK’s mistakes on immigration and radical Islam, we are going to face the same destruction.

The thing is, @Channel9 (who don't seem to maintain an X feed anymore) were fools to give @karlstefanovic a contract that basically let him run a competing podcast. Even so, Karlos should be free to interview whoever he wants - controversial figures included. Where he stuffed up is failing to draw any line between professional and doofus. Plus he's not very original.

Leaving Tommy Robinson's controversial life of debt, grift and fraud aside, Tommy Robinson's rhetorical style centres on a consistent martyr/victimhood narrative that fuses personal authenticity with calculated escalation. He draws on genuine working-class grievances and documented problems like grooming gangs and integration failures that authorities long ignored, then rapidly expands and reframes them into broader narratives of systemic betrayal and existential threat - fresh proof of a two-tier system or establishment conspiracy out to silence ordinary people. Emotional language, leading questions, selective examples, and sharp us-versus-them framing keep the audience in a state of justified outrage, turning criticism or setbacks into validation of his role as truth-teller while sustaining supporter loyalty and crowdfunding.

Karl Stefanovic's interview - just the next in a very long line of Tommy Robinson interviews - didn't break through any of this. It stayed comfortably inside the persecuted truth-teller loop with yawnworthy praise for Robinson’s "tenacity" and "courage," unchallenged repetition of familiar themes, and no real push on contradictions or patterns, so it added nothing new and simply fed the same cycle.

Now he's copping reports of sacking, months of lost money, and brand damage for it.
