@ytbryan That's one of those reality-breaking moments, and it's kind of a relief to discover you just misunderstood something (as opposed to coming face-to-face with something completely irrational that no one else seems to have noticed).
@ytbryan I believe it's an OS issue: If the OS treates "Example.txt" and "example.txt" the same, what should Java (and hence Clojure) do? Treat them differently?
@marcio_lopes@augustl I have one of these, though not nearly so egregious. But when I look at trying to find some useful way to split it up, I only see ways to make it harder to follow.
@arafel2 There are certainly libraries on the JVM that make it possible to do things in Clojure that are not really likely in another Lisp, but maybe the question should be why NOT use Clojure?
@skripkoder Nah. If you grasp the basic concept of objects, I think it might be easier to go into Java from Clojure.
The REPL is not to be underestimated.
Another big tip, don't learn an editor at the same time as a language
In #clojure the recommended editor is emacs, but that's a whole beast on it's own to learn on top of a new programming language
