On May 8, a major exchange's data center and API failures triggered flat BTC prices followed by extreme, irregular volatility in the BTC/BCH rate. This third-party oracle anomaly briefly impacted the system, leading to liquidations in 81 AnyHedge contracts before prices normalised.

General Protocols responded with complete transparency - releasing a detailed incident report - and took the principled step of fully compensating all affected users’ losses from their own operating budget, using the last stable price (0.005620 BTC/BCH).
